Where do I go for help? (All Students)
See Elaine Morgan, Academic Counselor (114-H Hinds Hall) when:
- you have a grievance about a grade
- you're interested in applying to an iSchool graduate degree program. First request information from the receptionist and read it before the meeting
- you have a concern about the behavior of a faculty or staff member or another student.
- you wish to appeal a charge of academic dishonesty or a suspension
- you want to withdraw from a course after the academic drop deadline
- you want to withdraw from any program in the school. Undergraduates may also see David Molta. Graduate students may see a program director
See Bridget Crary, Admissions/Applications Processor (114-O Hinds Hall) to:
- submit applications for all graduate programs and certificates
- check on application status for admission
- request waivers/permissions to register for graduate courses or get on waiting lists
- be added or deleted from a listserv
- prepare forms for doctoral defense
See Kathy Benjamin, Assistant in the Office of Career Services and Experiential Learning (114-F Hinds Hall) to:
- determine and obtain the paperwork for internships or co-op work experiences. All the forms necessary to be submitted for academic credit must be processed through the Career Planning office
- be added to the ISTWORK listserv
- get assistance with faxing your resumes to employers interested in interns and employees
- obtain Curricular and Optional Practical Training Letters for international students
- receive assistance in utilizing reference books that reflect previously established internship sites, cooperative work experience, and job descriptions
- post items to the ISTWORK listserv. This includes internship opportunities, co-op work experiences and job opportunities, along with some volunteer positions
- get answers concerning internship and cooperative work experiences
- find out about career events held throughout the academic year
