School of Information Studies is the Best !!!

 

In August 2002, after completing my Bachelors in Computer Science at Utica College of Syracuse University, I was working at Cisco Systems Inc. at Research Triangle Park in North Carolina. I realized I wanted to pursue something which would allow me to grow within the Company and focus my career towards applying technology to solve business problems.

 

 

I was fortunate to meet Prof. Dave Molta and learn about the Masters in Telecommunication and Network Management program at School of Information Studies (IST).  This school was the best match for me, due to its ranking, unique program, and excellent faculty.  I was educated with a combination of technology, policy and management knowledge and experience.  The best part was the faculty, who are practitioners and researchers, and share their real world experiences with students.  

 

During my time at IST, I managed the Information Technology Experiential Learning Lab (ITELL) lab, instructed in the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) program, and assisted in teaching IST undergraduate courses. These projects gave me an opportunity to apply my previous Cisco work experience, and to get hands-on learning in policy and management.  It has been great experience as a student, manager, and a teacher.

 

Currently, I am working at Cisco Systems Inc. in San Jose, CA, supporting Mobile Wireless Technology.  This technology is used to provide Internet on Mobile phones and Broadband Wireless Access.  If you have any questions on the program, the job market or are interested in getting professional experience, feel free to drop me a line at hasan27@yahoo.com.  Looking forward to talk with you.
