Darryl Meadows
B.S. in Information Management and Technology ‘99
Atlanta, GA

In 1999, I completed my Bachelor's degree in Information Management and Technology from the School of Information Studies. As a student in the iSchool, you gain both broad and specific skills in the various areas of IT. More importantly, to me, you also learn how to manage these systems by learning how to communicate with both the developers/support staff and the users. I have been able to successfully market myself as a technology consultant based on my IT skills and my knowledge of how to apply these skills strategically to an organization.

After graduating, I took a position with Accenture (formally known as Andersen Consulting). I have worked with clients in many areas, including - defining a system architecture strategy, developing application ETL, certifying system integration software, coordinating data warehouse enhancements, redefining data sourcing processes, assessing data models & Business Intelligence (BI) architectures, managing a BI delivery, managing a data conversion & legacy application decommission, and application testing.

Most recently, my client work has included managing an IT systems & application support transition for 30+ systems for a global asset management firm; managing data testing & coordinating Production releases for a database merger that was part of an acquisition project for a global banking firm; managing technical testing for 40+ projects for an accounting system data conversion for a global banking firm; and managing two programs that deal with closing data gaps and scaling the data warehouses, file delivery applications, and infrastructure items related to a merger for a global banking firm.
