Visit five countries and seven European cities in two weeks!


Tour Europe and earn credits towards graduation. This 15 day tour of Europe will start in Amsterdam and go through Paris, Lyon, Geneva, Munich, Venice, and end up in Rome. While being immersed in the culture of the most fascinating cities in Europe, learn how some of the largest global corporations use information to address global technology challenges.

Costs

Tuition for the course is covered for Immersion Experience students as part of regular spring 2012 semester tuition, as long as you do not exceed 19 total credits. The cost for the travel portion of the course is approximately $3,800, and includes round trip transportation from a New York area airport to Europe, housing, many group meals, transportation between cities, and some entrance fees. It also includes all activities and services for which a separate fee is not charged. The final fee will be set once airfare and other expenses have been confirmed. Students who are not offered an Immersion Experience slot, or choose to not participate in the Immersion Experience can also participate, but will also be charged for 3 credits worth of tuition as well as the program fee.

Application, Selection & Payment Procedures

Students will be expected to submit the short-term application and a $60 non-refundable application fee to Syracuse University Abroad by November 15, 2011. All applications will be reviewed by an admissions committee made up of the iSchool and a SU Abroad representative. Students will be notified of their acceptance in December. Upon acceptance, a $500 non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your participation in the program. This is due within 10 days. Final payment will be due January, 2012. Those who are given a slot, but decide to not participate because they do not receive an Immersion Experience slot, will be refunded their application fee. Once the $500 deposit has been made, no refunds will be given.
