Regnier Institute Housing

On-campus housing is available in a co-ed residence hall on Main Campus. Each room is equipped with a twin-sized bed, dresser, desk, chair, and closet. While phone lines are activated for incoming calls, phone equipment is not provided. Bathrooms are gender labeled and shared with other students. Students attending campus classes in July will be residing in Ernie Davis Hall which is air-conditioned.  Linens are provided; however, no maid service is available and you must provide all of your personal comforts (i.e.; soap, towels, fans, alarm clocks, etc.).

Summer 2011 housing for School of Information Studies students will be located in DellPlain residence hall (for May students) and Ernie Davis Hall (for July students).  To request campus housing, use the 2011 Housing Form and mail to:

Each guest will receive a room key and an electronic access card upon arrival. Most floors provide group workspace in a common study lounge. The facilities also include coin-operated laundry and vending machines. Smoking is prohibited in all University buildings.

If a private bathroom and single room are desired, the Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel and Conference Center is located on Main Campus. Contact the reservation number at 1-800-395-2105 for rates and room availability. The Genesee Inn Hotel is also nearby, and offers both rooms and efficiency suites. Contact the reservation number 1-800-365-HOME for rates and room availability. Some students choose to make housing arrangements with local friends, while others may wish to commute to class each day.

Campus map

Intensive residency classes during the Regnier Summer Institute may entail several hours of additional work in the evenings, and coursework often involves hands-on and group projects as well as presentations. Many students find they develop strong bonds with their peer during the Summer Institute.
