Careers

The career outlook for graduates of the M.S. in Telecommunications and Network Management is excellent. As PCs become a relic of the past and more business and communications are conducted via wireless telecommunications devices, the need for professionals who understand these networks is increasing dramatically.

Our 2010 Telecommunication and Network Managment graduates had an employment placement rate of 87 percent.  Upon graduation, 87 percent of our students had full-time jobs. Our 2010 TNM graduates earn an average starting salary of $62,667. The response rate for this survey was 83 percent.

Also, organizations, businesses, and governments continue to invest heavily in technological infrastructure, despite downturns in the economy. For example, the 2009 U.S. economic stimulus package passed by Congress includes $7.2 billion in funds to expand telecommunications access in rural areas. The United States will need educated professionals to install and service these networks.

Career Resources

One of our most important objectives, in addition to your preparation, is to make sure that you get a job after graduation. We have thus collected the names of companies where TNM students can find employment. Let us know if there are any companies that you think should be listed here. This page will be updated once a year, to make sure that the links work, but if you find one that is not working, please let us know so we can fix it. We hope that you find these resources useful.
