At Syracuse University’s iSchool, students are prepared to be leaders in their schools or other future organizations through involvement with other information professions while being grounded in the theory and practice of librarianship.
Our 2011 Library and Information Science - School Media graduates had an employment placement rate of 100 percent.
2011 placement included graduates employed full-time, part-time and those who went on to pursue further graduate or doctoral study. The response rate for this survey was 83 percent.

Career Services
The high rate of job placement success reflects both the demand for graduates and the effective career planning support provided by the coordinated efforts of the School of Information Studies and Syracuse University's Center for Career Services. The School of Information Studies Office of Career Planning and Syracuse University's Career Services Office provide students with a variety of supportive services, including resume building, interviewing tips, networking opportunities, and job fairs and listings.
