Master of Science in Library and Information Science

Mission: To educate students to become leaders in the evolution of the library and information profession in the 21st century.

The Master of Science in Library and Information Science (MSLIS) degree provides a foundation in traditional librarianship as well as skill sets necessary for emerging leadership roles of librarians in information centers, the information industry, and other venues. The School of Information Studies faculty members are nationally known leaders in such fields as digital literacy, school media libraries, digital libraries, classification, reference services, and much more. The MSLIS program is available in campus-based or distance learning formats to full-time or part-time students.
