ALA Accreditation Documentation

We work with the American Library Association to meet its Standards for Accreditation. In order to be an ALA-accredited school, we are reaccredited every seven years and file regular updates every other year. Each year, we update the Program Presentation for the MSLIS program, which documents all aspects of the MSLIS program. We have been re-accredited through 2015.

ALA 2008 Program Presentation - This is the primary document that we submitted to the ALA.  It documents many aspects of our MSLIS program from 2002-2007.

External Review Panel report - Four visitors came to the school for two days in 2008.  They had reviewed the program presentation and met with many different folks to learn more about the program.  This report is what they submitted to us and to the Committee on Accreditation.

COA Decision Letter - We met with the Committee on Accreditation in January 2009, where they asked follow-up questions about the Presentation and External Review Panel report.  This letter is from the Committee with our re-accreditation.  We have no areas of deficiency in our program.
