CAS in Information Security Management: Who Should Apply

The certificate in information security management offers students the skills and knowledge to work in the emerging area of information security and systems assurance. The certificate is available to those with or without experience in the information technology field. Applicants can be currently working in the information technology field or they can be interested in making a career change into the information technology field. The certificate provides an opportunity for professional development and serves as a foundation for career advancement.

Graduates will be taught the skills needed to embrace the changes occurring in our society and the impact that information and information security has upon them. Graduates will be able to work in the areas of homeland security and corporate security, and will be able to meet the needs for information security in not-for-profits and private industry.

Originally built in 1955 to house the College of Engineering, renovations began in summer 2003 to completely overhaul the building to suit the techie and collaborative needs of the iSchool.
